Queen’s Park star Cole Burke meets his No1 fan
COLE BURKE has had a summer to remember already – facing Celtic in pre-season and promoted to the Spiders’ first-team squad by head coach Sean Crighton.
He impressed the sell-out crowd at The city Stadium when Brendan Rodgers’ side came to visit last month – but he already had won over young Kaia McLaughlin, the defender’s number one fan.
And as a thank you to Kaia for her unwavering support for her local hero, Cole had a present of his own for the youngster.
He welcomed Kaia, dad Joe and brother Jax to The city Stadium and had a quick kickabout with the pair before agreeing to a very quick interview in front of the QPTV media boards in the east stand.
Cole also presented Kaia with her very own Spiders shirt, personalised with her name and number… of course 33 to match the defender’s squad number.
Dad Joe, of JJK Auto Assessors, is also a family friend and has sponsored Cole’s boots this season.
Joe said: “We’ve had a great visit to The city Stadium – thanks to Cole, Kieran [Koszary] and everyone at the club for making Kaia and Jax feel so welcome.
“She is delighted with her very kind gift and enjoyed her moment behind the mic putting Cole on the spot!
