Fight! Watch Mike Vrabel Join Patriots-Vikings Joint Practice Scuffle

Fights of varying severity have become the norm in NFL joint practices — for better or worse.

The Patriots saw a heated scuffle break out during a joint practice with the Washington Commanders last week — one that left Mike Vrabel bloodied — and a similar situation took place Thursday during a joint session with the Vikings. Vrabel jointed this fight, too, although it’s unclear whether he emerged with any battle wounds.

As of this writing, the cause of the fight wasn’t immediately clear.

However, multiple posts from on-site reporters indicate Minnesota’s offense torched New England’s defense in the first half of practice after the opposite happened Wednesday. So, tensions understandably were high between the two units.

The Patriots and Vikings will meet Saturday at U.S. Bank Stadium for a preseason Week 2 matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

New England blew out Washington, 48-18, at home in its first preseason game, whereas Minnesota earned a 20-10 home victory over the Houston Texans.
