Watch: De Winter arrives for Milan medical to replace Newcastle-bound Thiaw
Belgian defender Koni De Winter looks set to join Milan this summer from Genoa and today the centre-back has arrived in the Lombardian city to undergo his medical tests.
De Winter is reportedly set to join the Rossoneri in a deal worth €20 million, €18 million in base fees and up to an extra €2 million in bonuses. As a part of this deal, Juventus will receive around 20-25% of the fee and the Belgian will earn around €1.8 million per season for five years at Milan.
De Winter arrives for medical as Thiaw heads for Newcastle
Milan are working efficiently in this summer transfer window, as they aim to provide new head coach Massimiliano Allegri with the squad he requires to bring the Rossoneri back up to the top of Italian football.
German centre-back Malick Thiaw is set to leave Allegri’s side in a €40 million move to Premier League club Newcastle United and De Winter reflects a cost-effective and clever replacement for the former Schalke man.
