Hanley On Hibs Debut and Kilmarnock Draw
Hibernian defender Grant Hanley spoke to Hibs TV after the Hibees were held to a 2-2 draw with Kilmarnock at Easter Road.
Goals from Rocky Bushiri and Elie Youan put us in control in the first half hour, but we conceded just before half-time to swing the momentum in Kilmarnock’s favour - with Ben Brannan equalising in the second half.
Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Hanley admitted that it felt like two points dropped.
“We’re disappointed with the result, particularly after the way we performed in the first half.
“We totally controlled the game and played some really good football in the first 45, but we conceded a poor goal just before half-time.
“We weren’t really at it in the second half, so we’re disappointed in there as we feel we should’ve got three points.
“That’s football at the end of the day. They got their tails up after the goal and changed the way they played.
“It’s up to us to have a look at ourselves and make sure we react to it. We’ve got another big night on Thursday and we’re all looking forward to it.
“Personally, it was good to be back out there and involved so quickly after signing. I’m happy that I’ve got back on the pitch so soon and it’s definitely something to build on.”
