Report Sassuolo closer to Muric deal with Ipswich Town
According to Sky Sport Italia, Sassuolo are on the verge of securing Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arijanet Muric, on a paid loan with option to buy for over €10m.
It would be a big investment for the Neroverdi, who won the Serie B title last season, earning promotion back to the top flight.
The cost of the operation would be well over €10m between the paid loan and option to buy at the end of the season.
Muric was a flop at Ipswich Town
It’s a surprising amount considering Muric made a string of errors and was dropped down the pecking order, making him something of a flop.
He kept one clean sheet in 28 Premier League appearances, conceding 49 goals.
The goalkeeper is 26 years old and was born and raised in Switzerland, but now plays his international football for Kosovo.
His previous clubs include Manchester City, NAC Breda, Nottingham Forest, Girona, Willem II, Adana Demirspor and Burnley, before the €9.55m sale to Ipswich Town last summer.
The current Sassuolo first choice goalkeeper is Giacomo Satalino, while Stefano Turati has returned from his loan with Monza.
