Benjamin Sesko's salary at Man Utd divulged with 25 percent clause
Manchester United are on the cusp of landing their fourth signing of the transfer window.
The Red Devils have had a productive summer with an outlay of £140 million on three players.
Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo have been added to the club’s ranks.
The spending spree is expected to continue with United having secured a deal worth £74m with RB Leipzig for the transfer of Benjamin Sesko.
The Slovenian has already arrived in Manchester, and he is poised to undergo his medical and sign his contract before his unveiling at Old Trafford tomorrow.
Ahead of this, Slovenian journalist Rok Viskovic has revealed that the striker will be earning £160,000 per week during his debut campaign at the club.
However, there is a clause to increase his salary by 25 percent to £200,000 weekly if the Red Devils were to qualify for the Champions League next term.
United have shown big ambition during the ongoing transfer window, and they have already signed two star-studded forwards in Cunha and Mbeumo.
The duo netted 35 goals and provided 14 assists in the Premier League last term, and they should provide big upgrades in the attacking midfield department.
United were still lagging behind in the number nine position, and they have now found a better solution than Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee in Sesko.
Sesko has a tireless work rate and likes to high-press opponents. However, he has other unique attributes, such as his ability to shoot regularly from long range.
His accuracy obviously needs to improve, but he can score world-class goals with his powerful shooting technique. He should prove a fantabulous signing.
Sesko’s salary is justified by his immense potential. He will be earning in the same bracket as Cunha and Mbeumo, who are reportedly on £150,000 per week.
His arrival is likely to coincide with Hojlund’s exit, though the Dane has repeatedly said that he wants to stay. He may move on for regular first-team football.
