Atalanta making no Muniz progress with Fulham
Atalanta are making no headway in talks for Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz, claim Sky Sport Italia, so alternatives are Jean-Philippe Mateta of Crystal Palace and Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic.
La Dea need a new centre-forward after the lucrative sale of Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiyah and know that Gianluca Scamacca is not fully fit after a year out with knee injuries.
Atalanta running into problems for new striker
Their primary target to take over is Muniz, but transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio warns that Fulham have no intention of parting with their hitman.
Director Luca Percassi is currently in England for negotiations, but they are not going well and Atalanta might have to turn to alternatives.
Another player already in London is Mateta, but the Crystal Palace asking price is again going to be rather difficult to meet.
A third candidate is Krstovic, the Lecce striker who has also been linked with a potential move to Roma or Milan this summer.
The Montenegro international would be more affordable at €25m.
