Hojlund shares instant social media reaction to reports that Sesko is set to join Man United

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has taken to social media to react to reports that his RB Leipzig counterpart Benjamin Sesko is now set to join the Red Devils.

The Old Trafford club have reached an agreement in principle with the Bundesliga club for the Slovenian international in a deal which could reach €85 million.

The move leaves the future of Hojlund at Man United up in the air with AC Milan reportedly looking to bring him to Serie A this summer.

The Denmark international could still remain at the club beyond this summer if the Red Devils are unsatisfied with the terms of a sale or loan.

It appears he is ready to relish the challenge of going head-to-head with Sesko for playing opportunities under head coach Ruben Amorim.

Hojlund took to Instagram to like the post of Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Leipzig hitman will be moving to Man United, and the cryptic move could mean a thousand things.

The Dane will be expected to play second fiddle to Sesko if he does not leave the Theatre of Dreams this summer, and it remains to be seen whether he wants that at this stage of his career.

An exit could be in his best interest and that of Man United, and reports linking him with an exit will ramp up in the coming weeks as his Slovenian counterpart closes in on an arrival.

The Red Devils want to sell the likes of Tyrell Malacia, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho after sending Marcus Rashford out on to Barcelona, but Hojlund could also find himself surplus to requirements if Sesko hits the ground running at Old Trafford.

Joshua Zirkzee, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha can all play as a number 9, and Amorim will not hesitate to deploy them in the position ahead of Hojlund if they prove more effective.
