Morata move to Como on verge of collapse in vital day of negotiations
Como may miss out on signing Spanish forward Alvaro Morata from Milan, as the parties involved set today as the deadline to find a solution over the transfer, reports from Italy claim.
According to what has been reported by Sky Sport this afternoon, Galatasaray’s demands for compensation to terminate his loan spell in Turkey remain the stumbling block and the clubs engaged in the transfer are running out of patience.
Critical hours for Como & Morata
Morata already has an agreement with Como to sign for Cesc Fabregas’ side, and Milan have also accepted a proposal from their fellow Serie A side. However, Morata’s loan contract is not due to expire until next year and the Super Lig side want a reported €6 million in compensation to end his stay early.
Milan have been in talks with the Turkish club to try and free the Spaniard, who himself has reluctantly taken part in pre-season training, but so far no agreement has been reached. Sky suggest that this could well be the final day of negotiations in the transfer and if the Rossoneri cannot free the forward from Galatasaray, Como may miss out on their top target for the attack.
