Ibrahimovic was decisive in Milan deal for Jashari
Ardon Jashari officially completed his transfer from Club Brugge to Milan today, with reports from Belgium claiming that the Rossoneri advisor directly contacted the Swiss international to comprehensively outline the project at the club.
According to what has been reported by Belgian outlet hln.be, via MilanNews.it, Ibrahimovic, who acts as a senior advisor to the club and the ownership firm RedBird, called Jashari during the stalemate in negotiations in order to convince the former Luzern player to push for a move to Milan.
Jashari completes Milan move
On their official website this afternoon, the Rossoneri confirmed the acquisition of Jashari from Club Brugge. Believed to be for a fee in the region of €37 million, including bonuses, the Swiss midfielder joins the club to help fill the gap left by Tijjani Reijnders – who joined Manchester City earlier this summer.
Jashari comes hot off the back of a strong season in Belgium, being voted both Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season in the 2024-25 Belgian Pro League. He scored 3 goals and 4 assists in the league and was a vital part of the Belgian outfit’s midfield.
