Inter open talks with Chelsea outcast Nkunku after Lookman bid rejected

Inter have resumed talks with Chelsea striker Nkunku after seeing Atalanta reject their €45m offer, including add-ons for Lookman.

Multiple sources in Italy claim that Chelsea’s Nkunku is Inter’s main alternative to Lookman and according to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri directors have opened preliminary talks with the striker’s entourage in recent hours.

Gazzetta confirms Nkunku is Inter’s primary option if they fail to secure a deal for Lookman, but even Chelsea are waiting for offers for the French forward, his salary at Stamford Bridge could be an obstacle for Inter, given that Nkunku earns €6.5m, while Lookman has agreed to sign a €4.5m-a-year contract with the Serie A giants.
