Speaking to the club’s official site, Ruben Amorim has sung the praises of his team and reckons the way they are playing shows huge improvements from last season.

It’s just pre-season, but the feeling with the same players, if I look at the same players now playing, it looks like a different team. And that is a good sign. The important thing is that Rasmus is scoring goals, connecting really well with the team and improving. I don’t know what is going to happen until the [transfer] market is closed. 

I’m really happy with the players I had last season. They are improving. We looked like a different team today. Let’s continue with that. I’m really happy with Bryan, Matheus, even Diego. You can see it, he is a smart guy. For a guy that came from Paraguay, to come to the Premier League, he’s really powerful. So I’m really happy with these three guys.
