Napoli striker Cheddira targeted by both PAOK and Verona
Napoli are fielding proposals for Walid Cheddira from PAOK Salonika and Hellas Verona, with the Greek side expected to win out.
According to Sky Sport Italia, PAOK had been in talks for a while and have been pushed to make a new and improved offer after Verona stepped in to provide competition for his signature.
It is rumoured that an agreement could be reached for just over €3m and completed by the end of this week.
Cheddira expected to leave Napoli
The centre-forward was born and raised in Italy, but decided to play his international football for Morocco, receiving six senior caps.
He spent last season on loan with Espanyol, where he scored one goal and provided one assist in 22 LaLiga appearances.
Cheddira has been on the Napoli books since the €3m transfer from Bari in 2023 and went on loan to Frosinone and Espanyol.
His previous clubs include Parma, Mantova, Lecco and Arezzo.
