Official: Emerson Royal joins Flamengo from Milan
Brazilian defender Emerson Royal has joined Flamengo on a permanent transfer from Milan.

“AC Milan announce that Emerson Royal has moved to Flamengo on a permanent transfer,” the Italian club said in a statement.
“The Rossoneri Club would like to thank Emerson and wish him the best, both personally and professionally.”
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is worth €9m including add-ons.
Emerson Royal has joined the Rossoneri from Tottenham in the 2024 summer transfer window for €15m plus €2m add-ons.

His move to Flamengo has paved the way for Wesley’s transfer to Roma as the Brazilian landed in the Italian capital on Sunday morning to undergo medical tests and sign his contract with the Giallorossi.
Emerson Royal made 26 appearances for Milan in the 2024-25 campaign, but didn’t score or assist for the Rossoneri.
Flamengo said Emerson Royal had signed a contract until 2028 with an option for a further campaign.
Milan are currently on an Asia-Pacific Tour, where they have already met Arsenal and Liverpool in summer friendlies.
Their first official game of the season is scheduled for August 17 against Bari in the Coppa Italia.
