Red Sox Will Wear Special Commemorative Hats Vs. Dodgers
The Boston Red Sox will be fashion-forward in their weekend series with the Los Angeles Dodgers at Fenway Park.
Boston has been known to mix things up for home weekend series over the last couple seasons, but finally settled on a formula that has been followed to a tee in 2025. The Red Sox go green on Friday, yellow on Saturday and classic white on Sunday.
It’s going to look slightly different this weekend, though.
Major League Baseball introduced special hats on Friday that commemorate the National Baseball Hall of Fame, with every single team being given a different design to wear on the weekend that Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner will be inducted in Cooperstown, N.Y.
The Red Sox have already confirmed their intent on following the same uniform schedule they have all season, though, which already includes three uniform-specific caps. Boston could very well override those for the commemorative cap, or just wear it with its matching uniform on Sunday.
NESN will have coverage of the series’ bookend games, so you can tune in and see how they’ll look starting with the opener on Friday — with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET.
