Official: Arnautovic joins Red Star Belgrade as free agent
Former Inter and Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic has officially signed for Red Star Belgrade as a free agent.
The 36-year-old was out of contract after his deal with Inter was allowed to run down on June 30 and was linked with several different options, including Rapid Vienna, Antalyaspor, the Saudi Pro League, Russia and MLS.
He opted to make the move to Red Star Belgrade, also known by their local name Crvena Zvezda, with a contract to June 2027.
Arnautovic fresh experience after Inter
The Austria international has 41 goals in 125 senior caps for his country, but while he was born and raised in Austria, his family origins are from Serbia.
Arnautovic went through many clubs in his career, including FC Twente, Werder Bremen, Stoke City, West Ham United, Shanghai SIPG, Bologna and on two separate occasions with Inter.
He won the Treble with them in 2009-10 and returned to the Nerazzurri in 2023, overall making 65 competitive appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals.
