Leeds United eye loan move for Chelsea youngster Marc Guiu
Leeds United are reportedly exploring a season-long loan move for Chelsea’s highly rated teenage striker Marc Guiu ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. According to French journalist Sebastien Vidal, the newly promoted Premier League side is eager to bolster their attacking options and sees the 19-year-old Spaniard as a valuable addition to their forward line. Guiu is also attracting interest from fellow Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town. Guiu’s Journey: From La Masia to Stamford Bridge Marc Guiu’s rise has been anything but ordinary. The Granollers-born talent came through the famed La Masia academy at Barcelona and made a splash in the senior setup before sealing a move to Chelsea last summer. Despite the buzz surrounding his arrival in London, Guiu’s debut season with the Blues has been a mixed bag. Injuries hampered his progress, with a hamstring issue ruling him out for most of the second half of the 2024/25 season. Even so, he managed to net six goals in just 619 minutes across 16 appearances. But with Chelsea bringing in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, Guiu has slipped down the pecking order.
