Ready To Go? Patriots’ Stefon Diggs Avoids Injury Lists
The New England Patriots did some clerical work on Saturday.
New England, with training camp practices just around the corner, placed several players on its reserve lists — which is customary for each team prior to the start of summer sessions.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss revealed the players who have not yet been cleared to practice, with wide receiver Mack Hollins, tight end Austin Hooper, offensive lineman Vederian Lowe and linebacker Jahlani Tavai going on the active/physically unable to perform list, and cornerback Carlton Davis III, safety Josh Minkins and wide receiver Jeremiah Webb being placed on the active/non-football injury list.
Stefon Diggs, as you’ll notice, is nowhere to be found.
Reiss noted that it was a positive development, which we already should have known, as staying away from the reserve lists suggests the veteran wideout is progressing well in his recovery from tearing his ACL back in October. Diggs appears to be on track to be on the field at the opening day of training camp on Wednesday.
It’ll just remain to be seen how long it takes for those other names to come off the lists.
