As Lorenzo Lucca looks set to join Napoli, Serie A rivals Milan were also keen on signing the 24-year-old target man but had an offer of Lorenzo Colombo plus cash rejected by the Friulani.

According to reports from SkySport, via TMW, Milan and Udinese failed to reach a consensus on the value of the two players and therefore the Rossoneri failed in their attempts to sign the striker.

Lucca now looks set to join Napoli, as the side look to provide Antonio Conte with reinforcements following his 2024-25 Scudetto victory with the team.

Lucca set for Napoli amid Milan, Atalanta links

Atalanta were also linked with a move for the 2-metre striker, after the Bergamo side look set to complete the sale of last season’s top scorer Mateo Retegui to Saudi club Al-Qadsiah. However, the reports suggest that the advanced stage of negotiations between Udinese and Napoli over Lucca discouraged La Dea, who have instead turned their attention to other targets.
