Derry City can confirm that midfielder Callum Doherty has joined Institute on a season-long loan.
The 17-year old has been training with City’s senior squad this year and club Technical Director, Mark McChrystal, confirmed the loan agreement this morning.
“Callum has been working really hard this year despite a minor injury setback, and it’s the right time for him to build up the experience of playing regular senior football.
“He’s someone we think highly of and hopefully he’ll be better for the experience when he comes back.
“I wish him well and look forward to seeing how he develops at Institute in the coming season.”
