West Ham United are reportedly pushing hard to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via TuttoJuve. The Brazilian international previously enjoyed an impressive five-year spell in the Premier League with Aston Villa, having joined from Manchester City in 2019. Luiz made 204 appearances for Villa, registering 46 goal contributions and playing a pivotal role in their qualification for the UEFA Champions League—a first for the club in over 40 years. However, after his move to Juventus, things haven’t gone as planned. The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under both Thiago Motta and Igor Tudor, sparking speculation over an early exit from Turin. A return to England now looks increasingly likely. According to the report, West Ham are “determined” to bring Luiz back to the Premier League.
