Celtics Newcomer Had Hilarious First Impression Of New Club
The Boston Celtics have quite the reputation around the NBA.
Josh Minott, who spent the first three years of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves before signing on with Boston, was among those who took note of it over the last couple of seasons.
“They shoot a (expletive) ton of threes,” Minott said, speaking with a pool of reporters at one of the club’s Summer League exhibitions in Las Vegas on Sunday, as shared by Forbes’ Bobby Krivitsky. “I’d say, overall, its their movement, being able to get down hill and create for others, all of that. It’s a bunch of little things.”
Minott’s words were obviously in jest, but he wasn’t wrong about them chucking that thing from beyond the arc. The C’s have collectively shot more from the outside than any other team in the league, averaging 42.5 attempts per game in 2023-24 and 48.2 attempts per game in 2024-25.
Can you expect that number to rise in 2025-26?
It’ll remain to be seen, but considering who they expected to feature in the rotation after injuries and departures, it just might.
