Doja Cat, Coldplay, J Balvin, and Tems make history with FIFA Club World Cup 2025 halftime show
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is reaching its conclusion, with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain clashing at MetLife Stadium in a highly anticipated showdown. Adding to the spectacle, FIFA introduced a groundbreaking mid-game halftime show. With a star-studded performance featuring Doja Cat, Coldplay, J Balvin, and Tems, history was made on soccer’s biggest stage.
Throughout the tournament, FIFA introduced several innovations, including the referee cam and individual player presentations before kickoff. Now, it has added a completely new element to the sport: a mid-game musical performance.
With a packed MetLife Stadium in attendance, fans witnessed an impactful and culturally diverse show, with artists from different continents taking center stage. Doja Cat, Coldplay, J Balvin, and Tems delivered a high-energy performance, becoming the first artists to headline a halftime show during a FIFA tournament.
The Club World Cup has become a prelude to the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. After the success of this inaugural halftime show, anticipation is already building for who might headline the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA World Cup.
A halftime show with a purpose
Produced by Global Citizen, the halftime show also supported the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund—an initiative aimed at advancing education through FIFA’s Football for Schools program in more than 200 countries.
The campaign aims to raise over $100 million to help expand access to quality education and sports for children worldwide. As part of the effort, $1 from every ticket sold for FIFA Club World Cup 2025 matches in the United States will be donated to the Education Fund.
