Roma want Aguerd on loan, but West Ham demand full sale
Roma remain interested in Morocco international Nayef Aguerd, but West Ham United are so far refusing to let him leave on loan.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, there have been fresh talks between the two clubs to discuss his situation.
The Giallorossi are focused only on picking Aguerd up on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Aguerd only available on certain conditions
It was hoping to repeat the experience he had last term at Real Sociedad, where he made 25 appearances in LaLiga, 36 including all competition.
However, West Ham are now determined to sell the central defender outright, especially as his contract only runs to June 2027.
Aguerd was purchased from Stade Rennes for €35m back in 2022 and is now 29 years of age.
He has amassed 58 competitive appearances for the Hammers, contributing four goals and one assist.
The defender was part of the West Ham squad that won the UEFA Conference League by beating Fiorentina in the Final.
There has also been interest from Juventus in this transfer window.
