Opening Wiltshire League Premier Division fixtures released

Opening fixtures for the 2025-26 Wiltshire League Premier Division have been released.

And Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development will open at home against Melksham Town Reserves on Saturday 2 August (Sustain Stadium, 3pm kick off). If that game is anything like the fixtures between the teams last season, it should be an entertaining one too with both meetings having produced high scoring thrillers- albeit with both ending in defeat for Bassett.

Bassett then face a midweek derby against Wroughton on Tuesday 5 August before visits to Faringdon Town on Saturday 9 and newcomers Down Ampney on Saturday 16 (both 3pm).

Saturday 23 August sees Bassett back at home against local rivals Calne Town Reserves before a midweek trip to Park United on Tuesday 27 (7.45) and home contest against Larkhall Athletic Development (Saturday 30, 3pm) to finish the month.

Three further fixtures have been published so far.

September begins with a home midweek test against last season's runners-up Letcombe on Tuesday 2 September (7.45pm). Mark Simpkins' side then make the short trip to newly promoted Cricklade Town (Saturday 6, 3pm) before a midweek journey to Trowbridge Town (Wednesday 10, 7.30pm) for one of the first fixtures under the floodlights at the Bees' Woodmarsh ground.
