Fiorentina prepare Kean contract offer amid Man Utd rumours
Manchester United continue to monitor Moise Kean, but Fiorentina will offer their star an improved contract once his €52m release clause expires in mid-July, according to Gazzetta.
Fiorentina are preparing a contract extension offer for their star striker Kean.
Kean’s release clause expires next week
According to Gazzetta, the club and the Italy international will sit down to negotiate a new deal once the striker’s €52m release clause expires on July 15.
Gazzetta confirms that Galatasaray have recently inquired about the Fiorentina forward, but the Turkish giants’ priority remains Victor Osimhen, for whom they are ready to match his €75m clause.
According to Gazzetta, it’s still early to predict the Fiorentina contract offer for Kean or whether his release clause will be cancelled or upgraded.
Surely, the Italian striker and his club can still utilise the Growth Decree, which allows the Tuscans to save 50% of his gross salary.
Growth Decree still valid for Kean and Fiorentina
This means that if Fiorentina offer Kean €4m net, the actual cost per year before taxes would be €5.2m rather than nearly €8m.
Fiorentina must also consider that their wage bill cannot exceed 70% of their revenues.
If Kean is offered €4m per season, he’d become the highest earner in the Rocco Commisso era, as only Franck Ribery in 2019-20 earned as much under the Viola owner.
Kean earns €2.2m per season at the Stadio Franchi, while David De Gea is the better-paid Viola player with an annual salary of around €3m.
