According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, OGC Nice right-back Jonathan Clauss is among Damien Comolli’s priority targets to replace Timothy Weah.
Juventus have already identified a possible replacement for USMNT international Weah.
Juventus inquire about Clauss to replace Weah
The American winger is in talks with Marseille after refusing to join Nottingham Forest last month.
According to Gazzetta, Juventus have already inquired about Clauss, a player with whom both Juventus’ director and coach Igor Tudor are familiar and appreciate.
Clauss’ stats under Tudor
Clauss already played under Tudor at Marseille, collecting 12 assists and two goals in 42 appearances across all competitions.
Last season, Clauss grabbed 11 goals and three assists in 38 Nice games.
The 32-year-old is under contract with Nice until 2026, but his club have an option to extend to 2027.
His price tag is between €7m and €10m, but he’s not the only right-back on Juventus’ agenda, as the Bianconeri are also monitoring Silvan Widmer (Mainz, formerly of Udinese), Dodò (Fiorentina), and Marco Palestra (Atalanta).
