Theo Hernandez replies to Leao and confirms Milan exit
Theo Hernandez tells Rafael Leao that he’ll ‘never forget’ what they achieved together at Milan: ‘I will always be cheering for you.’
Theo is on the verge of joining Al-Hilal, and for this reason, he has not started the pre-season with the rest of the Rossoneri squad, contrary to Leao.
Theo’s exit is still not official, but Leao has already said goodbye to his former teammate on social media.
Theo replied to Leao’s Instagram post on Wednesday.

“My brother, I’ll never forget what we went through together and what we did together for this jersey,” wrote the French defender.
“I love you so much, my brother. Best of luck with everything. I will always be cheering for you.”
Theo joined Milan in a €22m deal from Real Madrid in 2019. Leao moved to the club that same summer.
Why Theo is leaving Milan
The pair won one Serie A title at San Siro in the 2021-22 campaign, when Leao was named the best player in the league.
Theo is on his way out of Milan as he failed to agree to a contract extension beyond 2026 after months of negotiations with the club. He’s now ready to join Simone Inzaghi’s club Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
