Tottenham fans respond to reports that Richarlison wants to stay under Thomas Frank

0 3

Tottenham forward Richarlison has made a key decision regarding his future at the club, and the response from supporters has been far from positive.

Richarlison’s future has been up in the air for some time, with the forward attracting interest from sides in Europe and the Middle East.

It has long been understood that Richarlison is eager to secure a move elsewhere to a side where he can play regular football as a centre-forward ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Despite limited starts last season because of injuries, there is a sense that the Brazilian still holds value in the market, particularly given the reported interest from clubs abroad.

Tottenham fans slam Richarlison as frustration grows

A new report from Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas now states that Richarlison would prefer to remain at Tottenham and fight for his place in the squad, with Thomas Frank set to assess him during pre-season.

It is understood that Richarlison’s priority remains to ensure he is the regular Brazil No. 9 ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and for that, he needs to play regularly at a high level.

However, should the Brazilian become available, Galatasaray are reported to be amongst a number of teams interested in Richarlison.

Spurs fans aware of the latest reports have made their opinion clear, with many fans believing that the Lilywhites should part ways with the forward.

One fan said: “He cannot stay fit man, we need to replace him”. Another commented: “He gets injured easily. It will not work out for him. Replace.”

One more added: “He is made of glass, send him to Turkey.” Another supporter voiced: “Why is it we are the only club where players decide if they stay? We should be getting rid, Everton want him. Take 20 mill and run.”

The fans kept on saying the same thing: “If he wants to start for Brazil then he needs to be starting for his club and he is not good enough to start for Spurs. Best for everyone if he is sold.”

While one more chimed in: “I really love him, but there is no need to keep him when he gets injured every two months… we must sell him and invest in a more fit backup for Solanke.”

Richarlison’s injuries make his Tottenham future uncertain

While Richarlison is a player with enormous quality, his injury struggles since moving to N17 have been well-documented, which has left many fans frustrated with the centre-forward.

Last season alone, the striker started only 11 matches in all competitions, while he missed a whopping 37 games because of injuries.

Those numbers are simply not good enough at this level, where games come thick and fast. In fact, we believe that Tottenham could even use money from a sale of Richarlison to fund a move for Kudus this summer.
