Juventus keep close tabs on Tottenham Europa League winner valued at just £15m

0 1

Juventus have joined the growing list of clubs keeping an eye on Yves Bissouma, with Tottenham actively encouraging a bidding war as they look to cash in on the midfielder this summer.

It has long been known, dating back to March, that Yves Bissouma’s time at Tottenham was winding down, following crunch talks with the club’s hierarchy, which all but confirmed he would be moved on.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion man was inconsistent for most of last season, but delivered standout performances in two of Tottenham’s most important matches, the Europa League semi-final and final.

However, he is now expected to leave north London, and there is no shortage of interest in his services.

There has been interest from Turkey in Bissouma, and Juventus have now emerged as one of the more serious suitors, as the Italian giants continue to assess potential additions in midfield ahead of the new campaign.

Juventus monitoring Yves Bissouma as Tottenham welcome offers

GIVEMESPORT have now confirmed that Juventus are indeed monitoring Yves Bissouma, with the Serie A side keeping close tabs on the situation surrounding the former Brighton midfielder.

It is reported that the Bianconeri could make a move for Bissouma in this window, although Tottenham are focused on securing the best possible fee for the Mali international.

The same report suggests Juventus are reluctant to enter any sort of bidding war, but Spurs are working behind the scenes to create a market for Bissouma, who is currently earning £100,000 a week in north London.

Spurs could look to Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup

It is further stated that Juventus would only be interested in the holding midfielder if he is available for a reduced fee, with previous reports indicating the Italian side values Bissouma somewhere between £15m-20m.

However, with agents and intermediaries already gauging interest from other Premier League clubs, it seems highly unlikely that Daniel Levy would green-light a cut-price sale for the 28-year-old.

Should a sale eventually go through, Tottenham will be expected to move quickly to secure a replacement, and one name being considered as a potential option in defensive midfield is Morten Frendrup of Genoa.
