Thiaw gives Como some hope with sudden change of heart
There has been timid, but significative, steps forward in the negotiations between Malick Thiaw and Como after Milan agreed a fee.
As we reported earlier today, the two clubs have shaken hands on a €25m proposal for the centre-back, as part of the double deal including his teammate Alvaro Morata.
This was being held up because Thiaw was by no means convinced that Como represented the next step in his career at the age of 23.
Thiaw opens up to Como idea
It had all seemed as if it was falling apart, but this afternoon there were small signs of the defender opening up the door to this scenario.
This means there is no deadline and Como are prepared to wait in order to win the player around to their project under coach Cesc Fabregas.
The club is nonetheless seeking to bring in two defenders this summer, so Carl Starfeldt from Celta Vigo remains on their wish list too.
