Spurs reveal something iconic is finally coming back to Tottenham's stadium
Tottenham fans have long been calling for the reinstatement of Bill Nicholson Gates and they will be delighted to hear that it is about to happen very soon.
Bill Nicholson is widely recognised as the biggest legend in Spurs history and is still seen by most fans as Mr Tottenham, having spent his entire playing career at White Hart Lane before going on to manage the club for 16 years.
During his stint as manager, he led the Lilywhites to a league title, three FA Cups, two League Cups, a UEFA Cup and a European Cup Winners Cup, all while playing a brand of champagne football that forever became associated with the club.
The famous black gates at the entrance to White Hart Lane are forever linked with Nicholson after this famous photograph in the 1960s.

The famous gates were knocked down along with White Hart Lane when the new stadium was built, but they will now be back ahead of the new season.
Tottenham have now confirmed on their official website that in their meeting with the Fan Advisory Board on July 24, which included the club’s new CEO, Vinai Venkatesham, the reinstatement of Bill Nicholson Gates has been agreed on.
The gates will be placed in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s surroundings this summer, with the club confirming that they will communicate the details in due course.
A nod to Tottenham’s history and tradition
The supporters will undoubtedly be delighted to hear that the club have agreed to preserve a part of their traditions.
Additionally, during the meeting, the club and FAB have also agreed to work together to create a revamped Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame.
These are undoubtedly steps in the right direction and these moves suggest that this new-look Spurs hierarchy, headed by Venketasham, is going to be much more hands-on in addressing the concerns of the fans.
