Tottenham step up Mohammed Kudus pursuit over recent hours, Fabrizio Romano

0 11

Tottenham Hotspur are now actively working on a deal to bring Mohammed Kudus to N17, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that the Lilywhites have now stepped up their efforts to land the West Ham United star.

According to several sources, Kudus may become the first player to make a move from West Ham to Tottenham in 14 years, with Thomas Frank’s men now having identified the 24-year-old as their top attacking target.

The Ghana international had a stellar first season in the Premier League after making the switch from Ajax to the London Stadium in 2023, but he failed to hit the same heights last campaign.

However, many Tottenham fans are convinced that Kudus would be an excellent addition to Thomas Frank’s set-up, given his versatility and the threat he poses in the final third.

Tottenham are now working hard to secure Mohammed Kudus

Fabrizio Romano has now taken to social media to confirm that talks between Tottenham Hotspur and the Hammers winger are ongoing, with the player ready to make the switch across London.

The journalist explains that Spurs are now working hard on the deal and pushing to get it over the line ahead of Frank’s first season in charge.

While Tottenham fans will not get excited until the deal is signed and secured, this is exactly the kind of ambitious move that they have been crying out for the last few weeks.

How much will Spurs have to pay for Kudus?

While the former Ajax man’s release clause stands at £85m, it has been widely reported that the Hammers are willing to sell him for a significantly lower fee.

According to various sources, West Ham are ready to accept an offer of £60m from Tottenham for Kudus.

That is allegedly down to the East London club’s desperate PSR situation, with Graham Potter’s men needing to sell the winger before they can push ahead with moves for their top transfer targets.
