Celtics Announce 2025 Summer League Schedule

The Boston Celtics made three picks in the 2025 NBA Draft, selecting guard Hugo Gonzalez with the No. 28 pick in the first round, before trading back from the No. 32 pick and selecting center Amari Williams and guard Max Shulga with the No. 46 and No. 57 picks, respectively.

Now, everyone’s attention will turn towards free agency, which will officially get underway on Monday, June 30, at 6 p.m. ET. On Friday, though, the Celtics, along with the rest of the league, revealed their upcoming Summer League schedule.

The Summer League offers younger prospects an opportunity to get some on-court work in with their team, while also giving them a platform to showcase their skills. Roster spots are up for grab during Summer League action, and that’s certainly the case for the Celtics.

The C’s have seen some Summer League standouts make real contributions for their team in recent years, Payton Pritchard is a perfect example, as he dominated Summer League action before becoming the 2024-25 Sixth Man of the Year this past season.

With three players, Gonzalez, Williams, and Shulga, headlining Boston’s draft class, there will surely be some excitement surrounding their Summer League action. As per their announcement, the Celtics upcoming slate of action will get underway on July 11 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

In addition to making three picks in the draft, Boston also reportedly signed a trio of undrafted rookies, with forwards Zach Hicks and Ben Gregg and guard Aaron Scott being brought to town.

While the Summer League roster has yet to be revealed yet, Baylor Scheierman and Jordan Walsh are expected to lead the way for Boston this year. The biggest question mark is Gonzalez, as it remains to be seen whether or not he will come over from Spain to participate in the action.

Regardless, these games provide fans a great opportunity to see what some of the younger players on the Celtics roster are capable of. Free agency is the next big item on the to-do list, but once the first wave of action is in the books, Summer League games will be upon us.
