Palace favourites to sign Man City flop this week

0 11

Crystal Palace are reportedly emerging as the serious favourites to sign Roma left-back Angelino this summer.

Reports in Italy claim Palace are making Angelino their top target at left-back amid doubts over Tyrick Mitchell’s future.

Al Hilal were also keen on signing Angelino earlier this summer, but although a deal was close, it ended up falling through and the Spaniard remained at the Stadio Olimpico.

The 28-year-old has shone during his time in Serie A and looks like he could be a fine addition to Oliver Glasner’s squad at Selhurst Park.

It remains to be seen if this deal will definitely go through, but Palace are there as Angelino looks highly likely to leave Roma.

Angelino to return to the Premier League this summer?

Angelino had a spell at Manchester City as a youngster and it will be interesting to see how he fares on a potential return to English football.

It’s been a long journey for Angelino, who has also had spells with the likes of RB Leipzig, Girona, Hoffenheim and Galatasaray in a well-travelled career.

Still, Angelino now looks like he could settle in well at Palace, with Glasner looking for an important new signing in a key position.

Bournemouth have also been mentioned as suitors for Angelino, as they need a replacement for the Liverpool-bound Milos Kerkez.

Angelino contributed four goals and six assists for Roma last season.
