Tottenham tipped to agree new contract to fight off Juventus and Borussia Dortmund

0 3

Tottenham starlet Mikey Moore could be set for another new contract, with journalist Alasdair Gold tipping the teenager to be rewarded following his breakout 2024/25 campaign.

It is no news that Thomas Frank is now the new Tottenham head coach, following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou, after the Australian’s two seasons at the helm at Hotspur Way.

Of course, with the 2025/26 season fast approaching, Thomas Frank will be hoping to get a few things sorted before the new campaign officially begins.

In fact, we have already highlighted five tasks Frank will be looking to tick off his checklist as Tottenham manager, including contract talks with both Heung-min Son and Cristian Romero.

Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore in line for fresh deal

Son’s future at Tottenham is uncertain, with several clubs across Europe and the Middle East said to be interested in the Spurs captain.

Cristian Romero continues to attract interest from Spain, with Atletico Madrid still sniffing around the Argentine centre-back.

While Tottenham fans wait to see what lies in store for two of their most experienced players, journalist Alasdair Gold has now revealed that one of Spurs’ breakout stars from last season is set for a new contract.

According to Gold, Mikey Moore, who only recently penned a new contract at Tottenham, could be in line to renew his terms once again.

The journalist explained it is common for a club’s young players to sign new deals annually as they progress towards first-team football, and he expects Moore to receive an improved contract after establishing himself in the senior setup.

He said: “The other ones I think are 2027, Mikey Moore. Mikey Moore I would imagine that will be tied up this summer and we will see a new deal for him.

“When they are 16, 17 or 18 you get these new contracts that kick in anyway and I am sure they will agree to one that reflects a player who has made his Premier League bow now and played 19 times last season.”

Spurs will not sell Mikey Moore despite Borussia Dortmund interest

While Tottenham are looking to tie Moore down to a new deal, the England under-19 international, who is currently sidelined through injury, is also attracting interest from elsewhere.

It has been reported that Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Moore’s situation, with suggestions that the Bundesliga outfit is contemplating a loan move for the teenager. Juventus have also been linked with an ambitious move for Mikey Moore.

However, it has now been revealed to Spurs Web exclusively that while Tottenham are yet to decide whether Moore will remain with the first-team squad next season, there are no plans whatsoever to sell the youngster despite previous reports of Dortmund’s interest.
