Retired Patriots Captain David Andrews Moves To Sports Radio

David Andrews has officially hung up his cleats, but the former New England Patriots center won’t be going too far.

On Tuesday, 98.5 The Sports Hub announced that Andrews will be joining the station as a contributor during the 2025 NFL season, appearing on the “Zolak & Bertrand Show” weekly, along with “The Sports Hub Patriots Radio Network Pregame Show.” He will also co-host a video podcast with The Sports Hub’s Patriots reporter Alex Barth.

“David’s leadership and deep understanding of the game made him a standout on the field, and we’re excited to bring that same level of insight and authenticity to our listeners,” 98.5 The Sports Hub’s program director Rick Radzik said in a statement. “He’s a natural fit for our lineup and the perfect voice to help break down the season from a player perspective.”

Andrews also spoke about this move.

“I’ve enjoyed a great relationship with the Sports Hub since coming to New England 10 years ago,” Andrews stated. “I’m looking forward to providing my analysis and perspective across the station’s various platforms this season.”

Andrews’ time with the Patriots ended when the team released him in March. The center contemplated whether he wanted to continue playing, but he couldn’t imagine putting on another jersey for another team. He officially announced his retirement at Gillette Stadium on June 2.

Andrews was a staple of the Patriots for 10 seasons, and it will be amazing to hear his insight, especially now from the outside looking in. The 2025 season can’t come fast enough.
