This Fenway Park Replica Is Must-See For Red Sox Fans

In the small town of Bells, Texas, a backyard whiffle ball field captures the heart of Fenway Park — and Boston Red Sox fans are taking notice.

Built by Stephen and Lana Newton in 2021, the replica ballpark features a scaled-down Green Monster, Pesky’s Pole, and even a Citgo sign donated by a family friend. Every detail mirrors the original — including color-matched walls painted with Fenway’s official “Green Monster” and “Foul Pole Yellow” from Benjamin Moore.

The idea started modestly but quickly evolved into something far greater.

“The idea of a whiffle ball field was always in our minds. The level that it got built was never in our minds,” Stephen told Damon Sayles of The Athletic.

From a replica scoreboard to seats above the Monster, Home Run Ranch has grown into a striking tribute to one of baseball’s most iconic venues. The Newtons’ son, a young ballplayer, helped spark the concept after falling in love with Fenway during a 2023 visit to Boston. The backyard field gave it new meaning.

Visitors from around the world have made the trip to see the field in person. One lifelong fan told Sayles it brought back memories of his trip to see the Red Sox play in Boston decades ago.

“We’ve got Fenway Park. Just incredible,” he said.

It might be 1,700 miles from Kenmore Square, but for many, this Texas tribute delivers the same kind of magic — one whiffle ball pitch at a time.
