With 5 league titles and 3 Champions League wins Casillas earned his place in the side. He was an all round Mr Consistent for a number of seasons and his accolades at club and international level show that as he won the absolute lot, 2 European Championship wins and a World Cup to add to his list at club level. He was winning trophies after he finally left Real Madrid winning a league title with Sporting before ill health stopped his 2 decade run as a number 1 but not before he was still earning awards as the best goalkeeper in a league as he approached his 40th birthday. IFFHS named him best goalie in the world on 5 separate occasions.
