Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert combine in match-winning goal for France Under-21s (Video)
Wilson Odobert found the back of the net for France Under-21s in their win over Uzbekistan with the Tottenham winger’s goal being set up with a lovely touch from Mathys Tel.
The Tottenham players will feel that they have earned a well-deserved holiday after an extremely challenging season, which ended with them creating history by lifting the Europa League trophy.
However, many of them have been on international duty since the end of the season, including French pair, Wilson Odobert and Mathys Tel, who featured on Wednesday for France’s Under-21s side in their 2-1 win over Uzbekistan’s Under-23s.
Both of them made a decisive impact in the game, producing some lovely moments, including combining for a well-taken goal in the second-half.
Wilson Odobert and Mathys Tel both impressed on international duty
Both Tel and Odobert came on as substitutes in the second half and the pair were both involved in several dangerous attacks.
The duo seemed to have developed a close understanding off the pitch over the last six months at Tottenham, and they have now shown an ability to link up well on it.
They combined brilliantly for a goal, with Tel cushioning a pass from around 12 yards out into Odobert’s path, with the former Burnley man having the time to take a touch and curl the ball into the bottom corner.

Tottenham fans waiting to see if Mathys Tel returns to North London
It has been widely reported that Tottenham do not plan on activating the £45m option to buy Tel and instead wants to renegotiate a discounted deal with Bayern.
Various German publications have said that Bayern would be open to offering Spurs a discount on Tel, with the Bundesliga club allegedly ready to accept £30m for the forward.
Over recent days, it has also been suggested that Tottenham could decide to extend Tel’s loan along with an obligation to buy him next summer.
