Tegan Bowie 'Very, Very Happy' To Stay At Hibs
Tegan Bowie says she is "very, very happy" to remain at Hibernian Women after signing a new two-year deal with the league champions!
Until injury ruled the winger out of the final three matches of the season, Tegan had played in every single league match during the Hibees' title-winning campaign.
The 21-year-old put up strong numbers across the season, with her five goals and six assists in the league helping Hibs Women to their first SWPL title in 18 years.
Re-joining the Club in June 2023 after a spell at Celtic, Tegan has gone on to make 65 appearances under Grant Scott across the past two seasons.
"I'm delighted," she told HibsTV. "I was never in doubt that I was going to sign. I'm just very, very happy.
"It's been a crazy season. Comparing it to last year, we've topped it by a mile.
"I think it's just looking to do the same again, personally and as a group."
Hibs' recent title triumph - which for Tegan was her first SWPL winner's medal - was a vast improvement on the prior campaign's fifth-place finish.
Some players would quickly set new goals to reach following such a remarkable achievement, but Tegan rebuffs such self-imposed aspirations and will stick firmly to working with her teammates to reach new heights.
"I don't really think about [personal targets] too much. I don't put too much pressure on myself.
"I just want to help the team as much as possible, try and maintain the goals and assists that I did get and possibly push for more.
"But as long as the team is winning, I don't really care!"
