Man United “taking an increasing interest” in 29-G/A Arsenal target this summer
Manchester United are looking to improve their attacking unit with the signing of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo in the summer.
According to a report from United In Focus, they have held talks with the Cameroon International attacker’s agents, and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with an offer to sign the player.
Graeme Bailey said: “Bryan Mbuemo’s stats were great last season and I am told analytically, which United are taking an increasing interest in, he is amongst the best in Europe.
“For certain positions the club want versatility like with Cunha, Amad and Bruno Fernandes. United know it will be a tough ask to get him, but the interest is solid.”
Man United eyeing attacking reinforcements
Manchester United are closing in on the capture of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and they are looking to add to their attacking unit as well. He has been outstanding for Brentford this season, scoring 20 goals and picking up nine assists in all competitions.
He is undoubtedly one of the best attackers in the Premier League right now, and he could be an outstanding acquisition for Manchester United. However, they will face competition from Arsenal and Newcastle United as well. It remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official offer to sign the player.
Bryan Mbeumo could transform Man United
Mbeumo is reportedly valued at £60 million. He will add goals and creativity to the Manchester United attack. He is capable of operating as a right-sided attacker as well as a centre forward.
He is well settled in the Premier League. He could make an instant impact at Old Trafford if he joins Manchester United. The Red Devils will need to improve their squad in order to bounce back strongly next season. They have missed out on European qualification, and they have finished in the bottom half of the table.
The Brentford attacker could be attracted to the idea of joining a big club this summer, and Manchester United are certainly one of the biggest in the world.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are keeping tabs on him as well. They need a wide attacker this summer who can support the likes of Bukayo Saka. Gabriel Martinelli has been underwhelming this season, and Mbeumo could prove to be an upgrade.
