Tom Brady Reportedly Considering Football Comeback (With Twist)

Tom Brady might not be done playing football after all.

The future Pro Football Hall of Famer has already unretired once, and he’s apparently contemplating doing it again. Sort of.

The Daily Mail (via a Barstool Sports post) reported Thursday that the 47-year-old legend might be looking to get in on the flag football fun when the Summer Olympics come to America in 2028. According to the report, which cited an “insider,” Brady apparently wants to add a gold medal to his trophy case, and he apparently knows “he would be able to help and excel in that environment and since his life is very much scheduled and has a tight regimen.”

That last part is typical Brady mumbo-jumbo, but it would be kind of awesome to see the former New England Patriots quarterback slinging it around the gridiron in the Olympics. He’ll be 50 by then when the Olympics go to Los Angeles, but he keeps himself in immaculate shape.

We’ve seen on YouTube that the arm isn’t an issue. He still has a football computer for a brain, and if he can get back anywhere close to the level of accuracy that defined his career, he’s kind of the perfect option to feed some of the world’s best athletes.

On top of that, there’s not much risk — he doesn’t have to worry about getting hit, of course — and let’s be honest: There’s a long, long, long list of quarterbacks who could lead the Americans to gold in a sport that still isn’t really played anywhere else across the globe.
