Hibs Women Pair Earn International Call-Ups

0 6

Hibernian Women pair Kathleen McGovern and Rosie Livingstone have both been called up for international duty!

McGovern, who scored 31 goals in 33 games across all competitions in the 2024/25 season for Hibs, has been picked for the Scotland senior squad for the first time.

The striker netted seven goals in the last six matches of the season to thrust Hibs to league glory, and also assisted Linzi Taylor’s match-winner at Ibrox on the final day to secure the title.

She will join up with the camp later this month and work under newly-appointed Scotland ‘A’ Squad head coach Melissa Andreatta ahead of Scotland’s UEFA Women’s Nations League fixtures against Austria and the Netherlands.

Scotland welcome Austria to Hampden Park on Friday 30 May, before taking on the Netherlands at the Koning Willem II Stadion on Tuesday 3 June.

Rosie Livingstone has been selected for the Scotland Under-23 squad for the first time after previously playing for the Under-17 and Under-19 national teams.

After returning from a lengthy injury lay-off in October 2024, the youngster went on to make 24 appearances and scored six goals during the 2024/25 season for Hibs.

A goal on her return versus Montrose, a late Edinburgh Derby winner and a pivotal strike on the road against Rangers were standout moments for the 19-year-old – who appeared in 16 consecutive games across all competitions during the Hibees’ title run-in.

The Under-23s will take on Iceland in the friendly double-header at the Falkirk Stadium. The matches will be held on Thursday 29 May and Monday 2 June; both 3pm kick-offs.

Both matches will be free entry for supporters and will also be streamed live via the Scotland National Team’s YouTube channel.
