Mike Vrabel Confirms Patriots’ Joint Practices With These Teams

The New England Patriots will host some special guests in August.

Mike Vrabel confirmed as much on Tuesday, revealing his squad would host the Washington Commanders for joint practice sessions to kickstart the preseason before heading on the road for sessions with the Minnesota Vikings.

“The Washington Commanders will come here and then they’ll play us, and then we are excited to go to Minnesota,” Vrabel said, per team-provided video. “It’s a good setup that they have. It allows for great work. The Vikings have an excellent football team, and we have worked with them before, so we’re excited to go back up there.”

Vrabel previously held joint sessions with Kevin O’Connell’s club during his tenure with the Tennessee Titans.

The Patriots will also play preseason contests against both clubs following the conclusion of joint practices. New England isn’t expected to hold any sessions with the New York Giants, whom they conclude the preseason against on Aug. 21 at MetLife Stadium.
