3 changes by Amorim | Predicted Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Tottenham Hotspur with Yoro & Mount decisions

0 3

Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur in tonight’s Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mames in Bilbao.

The Red Devils have had a forgettable Premier League season with only 39 points from 37 games.

They can end the campaign on a strong note by beating Spurs in the Basque Country.

A victory guarantees a European trophy and qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Ahead of the game, manager Ruben Amorim has received a massive boost with Leny Yoro, Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee fit to make the squad.

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Predicted Line-up:

Andre Onana is United’s undisputed starter in goal. The Cameroon international has made some high-profile errors, but has the complete backing of Amorim. He needs a big performance tonight.

We anticipate Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro will form the back three. Maguire has been stalwart in central defence and has also made key goal contributions, including a dramatic winner against Lyon.

With Yoro having been injured for just 10 days, he should get the nod over Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw in central defence. He is undoubtedly the most reliable centre-back among the trio.

In our view, Amad Diallo should start at right wing-back with Patrick Dorgu on the opposite end. Dalot has just returned after an injury lay-off of four weeks. It appears a risk to start the Portugal international, keeping match fitness in mind.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte have been rotated in the starting XI for the last few games, but both should feature in the centre of the park. Bruno Fernandes has started in the number eight role lately, but we believe he could lead the line tonight.

With Rasmus Hojlund’s woeful form, playing Fernandes as the false nine makes better sense. Joshua Zirkzee has just returned after a lengthy hamstring injury and could be limited to a cameo appearance.

With Fernandes upfront, Mason Mount could partner Alejandro Garnacho in attacking midfield. The former has three goals this month and deserves to make the XI, having found his feet after the latest injury setback
