Jayson Tatum Takes To Social Media Before Celtics-Knicks Game 6

Jayson Tatum is feeling the love.

There has been an outpouring of support for Tatum ever since the six-time All-Star ruptured his Achilles on Monday night at Madison Square Garden. The Celtics franchise cornerstone showed appreciation for all of the kind words Tuesday after undoing surgery, and he followed suit Friday ahead of Boston’s second do-or-die game in three days.

Before the first elimination game, the Celtics’ social media team gave fans the opportunity to send thoughtful messages to Tatum outside TD Garden. Boston released the nearly two-minute video 11 hours before tipoff of Game 6 against the New York Knicks, and it didn’t go unnoticed by Tatum.

“Love yall,” Tatum posted on his Instagram story, coupled with a green heart emoji.

While Tatum continues to receive an incredible amount of support, he’s also distributing it. The 27-year-old texted teammates before their blowout win over the Knicks on Wednesday, and he greeted the team upon its arrival to its hotel in New York on Thursday.

So, while Tatum can’t suit up the rest of the spring and summer, he’s clearly still making an impact on this playoff run.
