Kevin Danso reveals what Ange Postecoglou told him about Europa League final
Kevin Danso has insisted that the Tottenham players are not letting the speculation over Ange Postecoglou’s future affect them as they build up to the Europa League final.
Spurs have the small matter of a Premier League clash at Villa Park this Saturday, but all their focus will be on the big final in Bilbao next Wednesday against Manchester United.
This Tottenham squad and the coaching staff have an opportunity to do what many have failed to do before them by ending the club’s 17-year trophy drought.
Ange Postecoglou has repeatedly batted away questions about his own future, with the Australian entirely focused on maintaining his impressive record of winning trophies in his second season.

Contrasting claims have been made about Postecoglou’s future over recent weeks, with some outlets stating that he is expected to be sacked no matter what happens in the final, while others suggest that he still has a chance to hold onto his job.
However, Danso urged his teammates not to pay any attention to what is being said in the press and to focus on their task at hand.
When asked how the Spurs squad can put the noise around Postecoglou’s future on one side, the centre-back told Football.London: “Generally, just by focusing on what’s happening today.
“We can’t affect what happens tomorrow; the only thing we can affect is the here and now. The manager always says that, and I feel like the manager’s been amazing. We’re in a final, it doesn’t happen often and I’m loving every minute of it.”

Danso confessed that he had spoken to Postcoglou about the possibility of a trophy this season before he signed for Spurs in January.
However, the centre-back made it clear that he would have signed for the Lilywhites even if there had not been a chance of a deep Europa League run.
When asked if Postecoglou sold the prospect of playing in a final to him when he arrived, Danso responded: “Personally, yes of course, but Tottenham speaks for itself. Europa League or no Europa League, it’s a big club and somewhere everybody would like to be. That was my reasoning in choosing Tottenham. It was a very easy decision.”
