New Celtics Owner Pays Tribute To Jayson Tatum Ahead Of Game 5

Bill Chisholm normally doesn’t go full suit like his predecessor Wyc Grousbeck when attending Boston Celtics games.

But the new Celtics owner made sure to rock some special attire, which will certainly ingratiate himself to the Boston fan base, ahead of Game 5 against the New York Knicks at TD Garden on Wednesday.

Chisholm was spotted courtside prior to the contest and paid tribute to Celtics star Jayson Tatum by donning his jersey. Tatum suffered a catastrophic injury late in Game 4 when he ruptured his Achilles tendon.

Tatum going down clearly had an emotional impact on his teammates and the major impact could have a ripple effect on the illustrious franchise for years to come.

Tatum faces a daunting rehab process in front of him and will likely miss the entire 2025-26 season.

It’s clear, though, that those with the Celtics, even Chisholm, fully support Tatum and will rally behind him through the tough road ahead.
