Five Takeaways From Full 2025 Patriots Schedule Release

The New England Patriots officially have their 2025 schedule.

New England will take on one of the easier schedules in the league with plenty to be excited about as Mike Vrabel takes over as head coach with an improved roster from a 4-13 season in 2024.

The Patriots haven’t made the playoffs since 2021, so that opportunity rolls around to end that drought in 2025.

Here’s five takeaways from the official release of the 2025 New England Patriots schedule.

BACK IN PRIMETIME
The Patriots only played one primetime game in 2024. New England got a boost in 2025 with three primetime games.

New England travels to Buffalo for Sunday Night Football in Week 5 against the Bills on NBC. Back in Foxboro, the Patriots host a pair of New York teams under the lights at Gillette Stadium. The Jets visit for Thursday Night Football on Prime Video in Week 11 and the Giants arrive for Monday Night Football on ESPN in Week 13.

HOME COOKING
The Patriots get the favorable side of the 17-game schedule with nine home contests this season.

New England starts the season at home to host the Las Vegas Raiders and ends the season at home against the Miami Dolphins in Week 18.

LATE BYE
The Patriots haven’t been able to catch a break in recent years, crawling into December to finally get a much-needed bye week.

That’s the case again when New England has to wait until Week 14 to get the bye week.

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE
We’ll see just how much better the Patriots are, but they’ll have every opportunity to improve with a weak schedule.

The Patriots have the third-easiest strength of schedule in the NFL this season (.429 opponent win percentage in 2024) and play more than half their schedule at home. New England also faces only four playoff teams from last season in the Bills, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

PROBABLY NO TOM
The Patriots are likely to go a second season without Tom Brady on the call for one of their TV broadcasts.

New England only plays two games on FOX this season and matchups against the Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns likely won’t earn the network’s No. 1 team of Brady and Kevin Burkhardt.
